The Boneshakers and members have performed and recorded with Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Seal, Keb' Mo', Gov't Mule, Elton John, Bootsy Collins, Tears for Fears, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Iggy Pop, Dave Koz, Bobby Rush, Charlie Musselwhite, and Mindi Abair.
The band celebrates over 30 years of funk, soul, and roots music drawing from Detroit, Memphis, and Muscle Shoals traditions. Featuring vocalist Jenny Langer (International Blues Challenge 2020 Winner – Best CD; Virginia Blues Hall of Fame).
Their latest album Live To Be, released July 2025 on Gulf Coast Records, debuted at #9 on the Billboard Top Blues Albums chart and received international radio airplay across the UK, France, and Germany.
The 2022 release One Foot In the Groove reached #1 on UK Blues Charts and #1 on US Soul Blues Charts and earned two Wammie Awards.
