Vocalist Niki Haris is a multi-talented singer, dancer, actress, and choreographer, and the daughter of Grammy® Award-nominated jazz pianist Gene Harris. Her vocal collaborations read like a "Who’s Who" of the music business, spanning jazz, gospel, blues, pop, and contemporary soul. Niki’s performances connect deeply with audiences, bringing emotional clarity, personal warmth, and a powerful stage presence to every song.

Shelly Berg is a Steinway piano artist and five-time Grammy®-nominated arranger, orchestrator, and producer, with numerous recordings to his credit. He serves as Dean of the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music and is widely recognized for his expressive piano artistry and creative energy. Bill Kohlhasse of the Los Angeles Times describes Berg as “a whirlwind of motion on the piano bench who never sounds a dull note,” capturing both his virtuosity and fearless sense of exploration.

The trio features stellar musicians Chuck Bergeron on bass and Gary Novak on drums. Bergeron is a respected educator and bandleader with a deep rhythmic sensibility and arranger’s insight. Novak’s precision, modern swing, and stylistic fluency have made him a first-call drummer for top jazz and contemporary artists. Together, the group frames Niki Haris’ vocal artistry with elegance, energy, and musical storytelling for an evening of jazz, soul, and blues that reflects both tradition and innovation.

His signature style weaves classical, jazz, blues, boogie-woogie, stride, and pop into a rich and vibrant sonic tapestry. Turn It Up, Kaeshammer’s 15th album, is a dynamic and rollicking collection that resists a single, catch-all genre.

She has performed and recorded with renowned artists including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Dave Brubeck, Phil Woods, Huey Lewis, Harry Connick Jr., Gloria Estefan, Questlove, and Wynton Marsalis. Grace is “a jazz innovator… making jazz young,” says Billboard Magazine.

Roy Book Binder Brings Piedmont & Delta Blues to Heartwood Soundstage – Gainesville FL, February 15, 2026

Roy Book Binder brings a lifetime of acoustic blues, ragtime, and road-tested storytelling to the stage. Originally from Queens, New York, Book Binder came of age during the 1960s folk and blues revival, when a new generation of players was digging deep into older traditions and learning directly from the artists who shaped them.

A key turning point came when he sought out the legendary Reverend Gary Davis in New York City. Book Binder became Davis’s student and a close part of his circle, traveling with him and absorbing the Piedmont style at its source. Those years left a lasting imprint on Book Binder’s playing and songwriting, and his sets still reflect that blend of intricate fingerpicking, strong rhythm, and a feel for blues and ragtime that comes from the “hands-on” tradition.

Over the decades, Book Binder built a reputation as a performer who can move easily between traditional material and originals, often shifting tunings and techniques as the songs demand. His approach includes Piedmont and Delta blues, ragtime, slide guitar, and the older “hokum” spirit, presented with the easy timing of a veteran entertainer. The “stories behind the songs” are a major part of the experience—travel tales, artist anecdotes, and the kind of on-the-road detail that connects today’s audiences to earlier eras of American roots music.

Book Binder’s long touring history includes U.S. and international festival and concert appearances, and he has shared bills with a wide range of roots and blues favorites over the years. He is also known as a teacher and guitarist’s guitarist, including work as an instructor at Jorma Kaukonen’s Fur Peace Ranch guitar camp, where the focus is on the details of traditional technique—right-hand patterns, turnarounds, chord variations, and personal style.

Fans who appreciate traditional acoustic blues often point to Book Binder’s ability to honor the classic forms while still sounding like himself—an artist shaped by mentors, time on the road, and decades of listening, learning, and performing.

Hailing from Florida’s Gulf Coast, singer-songwriter Corey Hall represents a younger generation of American roots musicians drawing from older blues and folk sources while building an original songbook. His music reflects the influence of traditional country-blues and Hill Country grooves—listeners often hear echoes of Mississippi John Hurt and R.L. Burnside—alongside a clear nod to the broader folk tradition that shaped American songwriting in the past century.

Hall’s writing and performance style puts melody, rhythm, and lyric storytelling first. His songs tend to live in that “front porch” space where acoustic guitar drives the arrangement, and the vocal delivery is direct and unforced. In interviews and radio appearances, he has spoken about how he got started, what drew him to folk-blues, and the stories behind original songs including “Orange Peel Hop,” “Away From This,” and “Boy You Gonna Die.”

As a special guest, Hall is a strong match for a Roy Book Binder evening: both artists value the roots of the music, keep the guitar work front and center, and bring audiences into the world behind the songs.

Guitarist and producer Dr. Adam Hawley has established himself as one of contemporary jazz’s most accomplished and forward-thinking artists. His career gained early momentum when he was personally selected by Maurice White, founder of Earth, Wind & Fire, to debut on White’s Kalimba Music label—an association that placed Hawley in distinguished company and helped set the foundation for sustained artistic and commercial success.

Now leading his own label, MBF Entertainment, Hawley has released six albums as a leader. His recordings and production work have generated 18 Billboard #1 hits. Industry recognition includes Mediabase Artist of the Year (2024), Billboard Song of the Year honors in both 2020 and 2022, and a #1 album in Nielsen sales rankings in 2020.

Hawley maintains an active international touring schedule, appearing regularly at major jazz festivals including Seabreeze Jazz Festival, Java Jazz Festival, Mallorca Jazz Festival, Berks Jazz Fest, Newport Beach Jazz Festival, Catalina Jazz Festival, Napa Valley Jazz Getaway, Cancun Jazz Festival, and Rehoboth Jazz Festival. He is also a frequent performer on high-profile cruise events such as the Dave Koz Cruise, Smooth Jazz Cruise, and Earl Klugh’s Weekend of Jazz.

In addition to his work as a bandleader, Hawley has performed with Jennifer Lopez, Natalie Cole, Lalah Hathaway, The Manhattan Transfer, and Brian McKnight, and has appeared as part of the house band on American Idol. He holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Southern California.

Hawley’s academic background, touring profile, and sustained chart success continue to shape a career that remains active and evolving on the contemporary jazz landscape.
