The Melbourne Municipal Band (MMB) presents “A Musical Expedition” on August 6 and 7, 2025. The concerts are FREE and begin at 7 pm at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd. Doors open at 6 p.m.

“Grab your passport and travel the world with us, from the American West to the Middle East, Korea, Africa and beyond,” said MMB Conductor Staci Rosbury. "We are looking forward to playing music from the movie, Out of Africa, a piece we just added to our library. One of my favorite selections on the program is Arabian Dances by Brian Balmages, which has a Mid-East vibe and lots of percussion. We know our audience will especially enjoy the tunes from Benny Goodman in Concert. This program will put you in a traveling frame of mind while you relax in your seats. No need to navigate crowded airports and highways.”

About the Melbourne Municipal Band

Now in its 60th season, the Melbourne Municipal Band (MMB) provides free, quality concerts to the community and helps nurture the next generation of musicians through youth education and performance initiatives. Founded in 1965, the MMB is an integral part of the Space Coast cultural community, serving more than 21,000 attendees each year through concerts, dances and other ensemble performances. The band's 80-plus members and auxiliary volunteer 30,000 hours of their time each year in the form of rehearsals and performance time.
