"Research from the Jazz Audiences Initiative (JAI) suggests that a majority (54%) of jazz ticket buyers across seven surveyed sites indicated they would like to play a musical instrument in the future. Furthermore, 72% of younger jazz patrons (ages 18-34) expressed this desire. While this data focuses on those who have purchased tickets to jazz events, it provides insight into the potential interest in playing instruments within the jazz fan community, particularly among younger audiences."
