With over 50 years of experience in arranging and composing Latin music, Nuñez brings this history to life, blending rich rhythms with the spirit of New York City’s legendary 1970s nightlife. Raised in Brooklyn’s multi-cultural landscape, he was influenced by musical greats such as Tito Puente, Miles Davis, The Jackson 5, and The Beatles, shaping his expansive expertise in salsa, Big Band, Latin jazz, and R&B.
Nuñez has collaborated with icons including Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, and Carlos Santana, performing at world-renowned venues such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. His musical talents have also extended to Broadway, leaving a lasting impact on productions like Evita and The Lion King, as well as film soundtracks.
Since launching his solo career in 2005, Nuñez has continued to captivate global audiences with acclaimed albums such as Chino Nuñez & Friends, A Tribute to the Dancers, It’s ShoTime, and Chino Nuñez, Doctor Salsa.
