All tickets are now on sale for Big Band Holidays, the opening show of the 2021-22 Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival Series. The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis with special guest vocalist Alita Moses will fill you with cheer as they perform their unique big band version of holiday classics on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Fernandina Beach, located at 1600 S. 8th Street. Christopher Rex, the Festival’s General and Artistic Director, said, “It is truly an honor to have The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis with special guest vocalist Ashley Pezzotti begin our 21st season of performances. Our goal has always been to bring the best artists across multiple genres to perform in an intimate setting. This coming season will feature an exceptional lineup of diverse artists. In addition to highly acclaimed Chamber Music performances, we will be announcing a schedule that includes a four-time Grammy winner who is one of the most famous sopranos of our time.”
The Festival is now in its 21st year of bringing celebrated music performances to Amelia Island. Mr. Rex added, “The Festival’s ongoing success and ability to attract premier artists can be directly attributed to the generosity of the Amelia Island community.
