Included on Blue Note Records Jazz compilation, Jazz Drumming Legends, Ignacio Berroa is one of the greatest drummers of our time. Upon Dizzy Gillespie’s request in 1982, Ignacio joined Gillespie’s Quartet. In Straight Ahead from Havana, pianist Martin Bejerano and bassist Josh Allen join Ignacio Berroa for a tremendous time of Afro-Cuban jazz and beyond! “The only Latin drummer in the world in the history of American music that intimately knows both worlds: his native Afro-Cuban music as well as jazz.” Dizzy Gillespie
