A beloved SJO holiday tradition is presented each December by founding member and international Jazz artist and vocalist, Ms. Alice Day. The Sunshine Jazz Organization presents our final concert of 2016 with a special holiday performance by Ms. Alice Day and Friends on Sunday, December 18th, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Miami Shores Country Club.
Born in Miami into the extraordinary musical tradition of gospel, Alice Day has committed her life to music. She has created her own distinctive style and is acknowledged as one of the finest Jazz vocalists performing today. The recipient of numerous awards, at home and abroad, Alice Day is also the founder and director of The South Florida Jazz Hall of Fame. Among the friends joining Alice will be renowned South Florida Jazz Hall of Fame Inductee, Eric Allison on tenor Sax, and her great band will feature Jaui Schneider at the Piano, Sam Chiodo on Bass, and Elvis Taylor on the Drums.
