It has been reported that Barrelhouse Chuck has succumbed to cancer and will be once again bringing the Courvoisier to Little Brother Montgomery's gigs.

A number of you have asked about whether there will be a service for Barrelhouse Chuck. It appears there will be something, likely in early summer, but if you'd like to join with others who loved Chuck and appreciated his music, there will be a tribute next month. On Jan 9, 2017, a tribute to Chuck will take place at SPACE in Evanston. Tickets are available but the capacity is limited. I'd like to convey that the GoFundMe account Chuck's friend Steven Dolins set up to help Chuck and Betsy with their medical expenses will be gratefully accepting contributions through the day of the Tribute and will then be closed down. Any contributions will help ease the financial concerns associated with Chuck's cancer treatment. It's one way we can ease Betsy's way just a bit.
