 Sunday, October 23, 2016 ~ 6-9pm

Now in our 30th season, The Sunshine Jazz Organization continues to promote the importance and beauty of Jazz in a variety of formats - from workshops and outreach projects to concerts. The Sunshine Jazz Concert Series is presented on the fourth Sunday each month (except December), and on October 23rd we are excited to feature a dynamic, Miami-born artist who defies categorization. Ms. Rochelle Lightfoot is known for her thunderous “big voice” and multi-genre song styling. She exudes a colorful range with velvety vocals and spirited performances, with a style influenced by treasured artists such as the great Mahalia Jackson, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Bessie Smith, Lena Horne and Patti LaBelle to name a few. 

 Ms. Lightfoot will be joined by a fabulous 10 member band  featuring some South Fla's finest incl. Melton Mustafa, Jr., Paul Shewchuk, Marcus Beneby, Allen Paul, Brian Carter, Michael Emmanuel and Harold Jean-Bart. This concert will be filmed for an upcoming venture so be sure to reserve your tickets soon and become part of the live taping!
