The Othello Molineaux Quintet

The Sunshine Jazz Organization’s monthly concert series continues at Miami Shores Country Club with the return of legendary Jazz steelpan virtuoso, Othello Molineaux. Othello will be joined by a world-class band including Abel Pabon on Keyboards, Manny Patino on Bass, Rey Monroig on Drums and featuring vocalist/violinist Nicole Yarling!

Born in Trinidad and credited with introducing the steel drum, the “Pan” to the jazz world, Othello burst onto the world stage after appearing with legendary South Florida bassist Jaco Pastorius on his grammy-nominated debut album. The South Florida Jazz Hall of Fame inductee has since performed with many music icons including Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Monty Alexander, Weather Report, Chicago, Eliane Elias and Ahmad Jamal. Othello’s musical innovations have inspired decades of musicians as he continues to tour and perform at festivals all over the world.
