Robert Earl Abernathy, 60, of Live Oak, FL, passed away on November 30, 2011.
Bob played piano, organ, keyboards for Grand Ole Opry Members & Country Artists: Ray Pillow, Del Reeves, Justin Tubbs, Melba Montgomery, Tillman Franks, George Hamilton IV(Abilene & Steel Rail Blues); David Houston(Almost Persuaded); Charlie Louvin(Lonesome Is Me); Tommy Cash, Johnny Cash’s brother(6 White Horses), Johnny Russell(Act Naturally) & (Rednecks, White Socks & Blue Ribbon Beer); Nat Stuckey (Pop-a-Top Again); Buddy Alan(Buck Owens son); Buck Trent, Jana Jae, Vern Gosdin, Bobby G. Rice, Mila Mason, Other Artists: Luther Kent, Charlie Brent, Rick Derringer(Rock And Roll Hoochie-Koo); Frankie Ford (Won't you let me take you on a Sea Cruise); Bill Haley’s Comets (Rock Around the Clock) Hot Walker Band; Musical(Common Ground)..etc.. Best know and loved in South Florida for his work with Joey Gilmore.

Funeral arrangements for Bob Abernathy
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 5th from 6:00 to 8:00
at Kalis Funeral Home,
2505 North Dixie Hwy., Ft Lauderdale.

  1. I can't believe that Bob Abernathy joined the Memorial Blues Band! I was looking forward to seeing him this weekend with Joey at the BBC. He always had a big smile on his face and it was readily apparent that he enjoyed playing. He's already missed. Godspeed, Bob.
