In recent NEA news
  • NEA Chairman Rocco Landesman announced on May 17 the latest round of NEA funding. Among the supported projects are 23 that feature jazz and jazz organizations, a total of $680,000 in grants.

  • Chairman Landesman notes here that the NEA joins the jazz community in mourning the recent passing of Eugene Edward “Snooky” Young, a 2009 NEA Jazz Master.

The NEA audio collection has two new downloadable podcasts:
·         Bassist Christian McBride, the new voice for the Jazz Moments
