Ft. Lauderdale's Dillard High School Jazz Band wins national Essentially Ellington competition in NYC

The Dillard Center for the Arts jazz band won the 16th Annual Essentially Ellington Jazz Band Competition and Festival held May 12-14, 2011 held at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Miami's New World School of the Arts jazz group got an honorable mention in the contest.
