Born and raised in Chicago, Brooks grew up surrounded by blues legends. His formative years included visits to iconic venues such as Chess Studios, the Checkerboard Lounge, and Wisefools Pub, where he witnessed performances by Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Luther Allison, Koko Taylor, and even the great Muddy Waters. As the youngest son of blues master Lonnie Brooks, Wayne was literally born into the blues. Together with his band, he carries forward this rich legacy with passion, authenticity, and an energy that ignites every stage they play.
