The The USF New Tampa Jazz Series presents Alexis Cole with the USF Jazz Ensemble I. This is the third show in the exciting new partnership between the USF School of Music and the Tampa Jazz Club with the brand-new arts facility, located at 8550 Hunters Village Rd. in New Tampa.
As one of the most dynamic singers on the current scene, Alexis is featured regularly at the top clubs and concert halls. She’s also busy as an educator and creating jazz outreach projects. For several years, Alexis was the vocalist with the US Army Jazz Knights.
This concert will include the exciting big band arrangements from her highly-acclaimed new album, Sky Blossoms: Songs From My Tour of Duty. The album reflects the repertoire created for her to sing with a 18 piece big band during her time with the Army’s Jazz Knights.
