An Afternoon with Diego Figueiredo
Brazilian Guitarist, on Sunday, December 8
A new star in the world of guitar, the sensational
DIEGO FIGUEIREDO, will make his first Tampa appearance in a solo
concert on Sunday, December 8, at 3:00, in the Mainstage Theatre at
HCC/Ybor City. Presented by the Tampa Jazz Club, the concert is part
of HCC’s Visual & Performing Arts Series.
DIEGO FIGUEIREDO brings his unique virtuosity encompassing
jazz, bossa nova, and classical sounds to every performance. He has
appeared in more than 60 countries (gaining new fans everywhere,
including shows in Sarasota and St. Petersburg in recent years). And
he records constantly, including this year’s “Amizade,” a duet cd
with clarinet/saxophone master Ken Peplowski, a favorite on leading
jazz radio stations throughout the country.
Many have sung Diego’s praises, including George Benson who
said he is “one of the greatest guitarists I’ve seen in my whole life
-- the world needs to listen to his music.” He’s an artist who has
appeared at the important festivals and concert stages throughout the
world, and the Tampa Jazz Club is proud to present DIEGO FIGUEIREDO
at the Mainstage Theatre, HCC/Ybor City, on Sunday, December 8.
