Welcome to the 8th installment of the historic tribute founded in 2009 by international recording artist, jazz vocalist, and Sunshine Jazz Organization founding member, Ms. Alice Day.
“We honor those who made/make it possible for us to participate and prosper, and those who have made an impact in the world of Jazz on these South Florida shores, and on the world stage. We are proud of our heritage and of the contributions South Florida has made and continues to make for the preservation and authenticity of a culture, of a people, and of America’s classical music, Jazz. We have many who are deserving of this distinction, so we can look forward to many more induction ceremonies." - Alice Day
For the first time in our 8 year existence The Hall of Fame will pay special attention to the Blues. We acknowledge the fact that “The Blues is the backbone of America’s Classical music” and, with respect to the roots, we are truly grateful.
Join us Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at Miami Shores Country Club, 10000 Biscayne Blvd., Miami Shores, FL 33138. Admission is $20/SJO Members $15. Become an SJO member at the door and admission is FREE! MSCC features a retro lounge overlooking the links with cash bar, a full menu and free parking.
