I am sitting in a hotel room in Memphis right now,

writing to you about this show after seeing Nick &

his new band kick it last night at Rum Boogie down on

Beale Street

.  Coming off of last year’s best

Chicago blues CD, PRIVLEDGED, Nick has

done a bit of re-formulating (a bit of fine-tuning on the soul dial

and an adjustment on the funk meter) that has added a new

level of energy and excitement to his 5-pc group.
