WHAT/WHO:
All proceeds support the camp scholarship fund to enable
talented young instrumentalists and vocalists, ages 7-18, to attend
the Young Musicians’ Camp. The camp, now celebrating its 10th
anniversary, has an enrollment of over 300 students from Florida,
the US, Caribbean, Central and South America, and Europe.

The Young Musicians’ Camp, created ten years ago by the late South Florida guitarist, Simon Salz, and his wife, Sarah Salz, now serves over 300 students from Florida, the U.S., Caribbean, Central and South America, and Europe, every summer. This special concert will feature Mr. Nestor Torres - the pre-eminent jazz flautist of his generation - who is known throughout the world for his dedication to music and its power to nurture a more peaceful world. Performing with Mr. Torres will be jazz great – Ira Sullivan along with some of South Florida’s top jazz musicians: Ed Maina, Nicky Orta, Mike Harvey, and Felix Gomez. Talented young students, participants in this summer’s Young Musicians’ Camp Honors Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of jazz great Ira Sullivan, will also be showcased in this unique performance.
