August 8 with Doreen Ketchens (as featured in the current issue of JAZZ & BLUES FLORIDA). She’s the Clarinet Queen of New
Orleans! From CBS Sunday Morning with Ted Koppel to the Kennedy Center,
Doreen Ketchens is here this summer! A vibrant evening of Dixieland – with
clarinet, Sousaphone, vocals, and drums.

Since 1985, the Community Arts Program (CAP) Summer Concert Series has been attended by more than 70,000 concertgoers. It is a time-honored tradition that continued with virtual broadcasts to the world throughout the pandemic summers of 2020 and 2021, and gathered an average of 7,500 views each summer. This developed an extended audience that CAP is excited to welcome on-ground again in the summer of 2024! Throughout the school year, the Community Arts Program (CAP) also provides after-school music education with the CAP Conservatory for the Arts and its Miami Jazz Institute. These reach children and youth from over 53 Miami-Dade County Schools, no matter what students’ circumstance or ability.
