405 Cleveland Street, Clearwater, FL 33755
Australian guitarist, singer and songwriter Orianthi makes her Bilheimer Capitol Theatre debut! This is the only Southeast stop on this nationwide tour.
With an electrifying stage presence and virtuosic guitar skills, multi-platinum artist Orianthi has built a global fanbase with her genre-blending sound. Born in Adelaide, she is a rock, blues, and pop guitarist and singer known for “According to You” and her role as Michael Jackson’s lead guitarist. She has worked with Santana, Steve Vai, Alice Cooper, Richie Sambora, Don Felder, and many more. Her latest album, Some Kind of Feeling, leads into the Some Kind of Feeling Tour in 2025.
Accolades include:
- Named one of the “12 Greatest Female Electric Guitarists” by Elle Magazine
- Winner of the 2010 Breakthrough Guitarist of the Year award (Guitar International)
- Ranked among “The Top 10 Female Guitar Players of All Time” by Gibson Guitars
Orianthi’s artistry is deeply rooted in the blues, which she calls her “first love.” Inspired early on by legends like Buddy Guy, Albert King, and B.B. King, she began her career with a strong blues focus before gaining international recognition in rock and pop. Her guitar playing remains defined by emotive phrasing and a passionate, blues-infused feel, seamlessly blending blues rock with other genres. This versatility not only highlights her technical brilliance but also underscores how the blues continues to shape her sound and performance.
The Nancy & David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre, located in downtown Clearwater’s Cleveland Street District, was constructed in 1921 and is one of Florida’s oldest operating theaters.
In 2023, industry trade publication Pollstar named the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre the #1 club venue in Tampa, #1 in Florida, #1 in the United States, and #1 in the world among club venues with 800 seats or less.
A complete $10 million renovation was completed in 2013. In 2019, Nancy and David Bilheimer donated $2.5 million to Ruth Eckerd Hall as part of the theatre’s “Expanding the Experience” capital campaign; in recognition, the venue was renamed the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre.
