Big Al and the Heavyweights Coming Back to Florida in September AND October! Clubs, Concerts and Festival Appearances Across the State!

Running on Blues Power
Across Florida and the Nation!

Big Al & the Heavyweights  who hail from South Louisiana are touring in 2025 in support of their latest Vizztone Label Group album, Blues Power. From greasy funk to grinding blues sprinkled with some bayou soul and infectious zydeco, this album is truly a fine representation of American Roots Music.

The album is getting rave reviews internationally and was #6 on BB King's Sirius XM's Bluesville Rack of Blues as one of the top new songs, and was #8 on The North American College Radio Charts. Big Freight Train, another song from the new album has just been added to XM's Outlaw Country.

Big Al and the Heavyweights originally formed in 1996 as the Unknown Blues Band with founding members Al Lauro, Warren Haynes and Rick Gergen (Sweethearts of the Rodeo). Of course, Warren is no longer in the band, but Big Al has formed a solid array of musicians including critically acclaimed guitarist vocalist, Marcel Anton, on bass guitar and vocals Dennis “The Menace” Cedeno from Brooklyn, NY and on harmonica and vocals, Motor City’s most Dangerous, Dale Robertson. With 8 recordings of original roots music, the band continues to tour extensively playing venues and festivals throughout the US.

On April 30,2023 the band was inducted into The Alabama Blues Music Hall of Fame!

It’s a fun energetic show which features everything from Blues to Zydeco to Nola Funk plus originals from the band's seven albums and select covers from legendary artists like Johnny Winter, The Allman Brothers and The Funky Meters.

Celebrate International Blues Music Day in Historic Dunnellon Florida on August 2, 2025

A Conversation with
the Blues

Dunnellon Historical Depot
12061 S Williams St, Dunnellon, FL 34432
Celebrate International Blues Music Day!

Saturday, August 2, 2025 | 7-10pm | $10 at Door
w/ EDDIE LeFEBVRE of FOGHAT!

Keith Caton is a seasoned electric blues guitarist and bandleader based in central Florida, known for his deep roots in the genre and dynamic live performances. Originally the driving force behind Florida’s renowned Bluzbusters for over a decade, Caton later founded the Accelerators in the late 1990s to explore his own vision of hard-driving electric blues. Today, the Keith Caton Blues Band continues that legacy, showcasing a repertoire that spans classics by Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley, and B.B. King, as well as Caton originals. The group regularly headlines festivals and community events—from the Two Rivers Music Festival Food Truck Rally in Dunnellon to the Inverness Blues Revue—drawing on decades of festival appearances and collaborations, including performances with Sheba the Mississippi Queen. Audiences appreciate the band’s engaging stage presence and strong connection to blues history, underscored by Caton’s twenty-year stint playing with Bo Diddley. Whether at intimate club gigs or larger outdoor events, the Keith Caton Blues Band brings authentic, energetic blues to Florida’s live music circuit.

Eddie LeFebvre has been a vital member of the Foghat team since 1989, originally joining as a guitar tech before expanding his role to include percussion and backing vocals. Over the past three decades, he has become a consistent and dynamic presence on stage, contributing to the band’s signature boogie-rock sound with rhythmic depth and energetic support. Known for his engaging performance style, LeFebvre adds texture to live renditions of classic hits like “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” earning praise from both fans and fellow musicians. In addition to his onstage work, he remains an integral part of the band’s touring operation, including recent performances in support of Foghat’s 2023–24 tour and their 17th studio album, Sonic Mojo.

~ AND ~

For any blues fan, catching Sheba The Mississippi Queen's live show is a must! With a soulful voice that can move mountains and a stage presence that captivates, Sheba brings the authentic spirit of the blues to  life. Her performances are a dynamic blend of raw emotion and skillful  musicianship reflecting her sharecropping childhood in Sunflower, MS - the cradle of the blues - creating an unforgettable experience for the audience.  Whether she's belting out a classic or introducing her own powerful  originals, Sheba's passion for the blues shines through.
