About the Central Florida Jazz Society
Founded in 1974, the Central Florida Jazz Society is a Florida 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting jazz—America’s original art form. From Dixieland and big-band swing to soulful blues, ballads, and contemporary rhythms, the Society celebrates the full spectrum of jazz.
Its mission includes:
- Preservation — Keeping jazz alive as an essential cultural contribution.
- Presentation — Hosting monthly concerts where members and the community can enjoy live performances across a variety of jazz styles.
- Promotion — Supporting live jazz and Central Florida musicians through its bimonthly publication, Blue Notes.
- Education — Providing scholarships to young musicians and supporting jazz education in the community.

The Central Florida Jazz Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the cultural art form of jazz through performances, education, and outreach activities. Our programs are supported in part through membership donations. Membership is an investment in the continuation of this great American music.
