Florida bluesman Beautiful Bobby Blackmon returns to Gainesville with his signature mix of soul, R&B, and blues guitar for a special evening in the Blues on the Patio music series at the A. Quinn Jones Museum & Cultural Center. With a decades-long career performing across the South and beyond, Bobby has become a staple on Florida's blues scene, known for his smooth vocals, heartfelt guitar work, and ability to connect with audiences of all ages. The way Bobby is able to precisely pinpoint which particular variety of Blues he is playing showcases the different styles that encompass the genre. He is sharp as a tack, quick witted within his on-stage conversations with audiences, and his style of performance adapts to the particular sub-genre the song calls for.

Whether performing classics or original songs, Bobby delivers an authentic blues experience that honors tradition while staying vibrant and current. His return to Gainesville offers an ideal way to close out the spring season of this community-driven concert series.

As this annual series becomes more and more popular, it is suggested you bring along a spair chair in case the ones provided are all taken.
