LUCIANA SOUZA TRIO
“Her voice traces a landscape of emotion that knows no boundaries.” Entertainment Weekly Grammy® winner Luciana Souza is one of Jazz’s leading singers and interpreters. Souza’s singing has been called “transcendental, “perfect, “and of unparalleled beauty.” Her work as a performer transcends traditional musical boundaries, offering solid roots in jazz, sophisticated world music, and an enlightened approach to new music. She has performed and recorded with greats including Herbie Hancock, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Bobby McFerrin, Maria Schneider, Danilo Perez, and many others. Her longstanding duo work with Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo has earned her accolades across the globe. Backed by Chico Pinheiro on guitar and Rogerio Boccato providing percussion, this show will be the essence of Brazil's sounds and rhythms.
The Gold Coast Jazz Society 2024-2025 concert series promises to enchant and uplift with a fabulous array of incredible, classical jazz that is innovative and creative; some straight-ahead, some variations of old favorites; and some modern interpretations, conducted by a cast of international artists and outstanding local musicians. All concerts will be presented at the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 SW 5th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale (MAP) and begin at 7:45pm.
Season subscriptions and single tickets for each concert are now available and can be purchased online. For subscription information and to become a member, go to www.goldcoastjazz.org. Student and teacher tickets are $15 with valid ID. A discount for groups of ten or more is also available.

The Gold Coast Jazz Society is a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of jazz music through a mainstage concert series, free community concerts, educational programs, a jazz scholarship program and musical services provided by the Gold Coast Jazz Society Band.
