Close out the season with an extraordinary band led by Daniel Tenbusch, featuring two of SCJS’s most accomplished past scholarship recipients.
Originally from Florida’s Space Coast, pianist Daniel Tenbusch has built a dynamic career in jazz performance and education. A 2014 Space Coast Jazz Society Scholarship recipient and Florida State University graduate, Daniel refined his style in New Orleans before touring with the Glenn Miller Orchestra in 2023 and 2024. He co-founded the group Creek, touring the Southeast and performing at top venues like Rudy’s Jazz Room (Nashville) and Heidi’s Jazz Club (Cocoa Beach). Daniel earned his Master of Arts in Music from UCF in 2024, where he also taught undergraduate piano. He currently performs with his trio, regional artists, and tours nationally as musical director and pianist for Charlie Brown Christmas Live, playing the role of Schroeder.

Since its founding in 1986 by Jack Simpson, renowned for Jazz on the Beach, and Alan Simms, the Space Coast Jazz Society (SCJS) has been a cornerstone of the jazz scene on Florida's Space Coast. Driven by passionate members and a dedicated Board of Directors, SCJS continues to celebrate and preserve the rich legacy of jazz in the community. This season, their concert series highlights top-tier regional talent and underscores the power of community support, with performances in an inviting venue that offers excellent jazz experiences—accessible in timing, location, and cost.
