Making the scene since 2006!
R&B and soul singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer Macy Gray makes her Clearwater debut at the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre, celebrating the 25th anniversary of On How Life Is. Known for her distinctive voice, deep soul roots, and funky style, Gray stands out as a true original in the music world.
She burst onto the scene in 1999 with her triple-platinum debut album On How Life Is and has since become a powerhouse in the R&B and soul genres. Over the course of her career, she has built a devoted global fan base and sold more than 25 million albums worldwide. A five-time GRAMMY® nominee, Gray won the GRAMMY® Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance in 2000 for her iconic hit I Try.
Now over two decades into her career, Gray has collaborated with artists such as Bobby Brown, Ariana Grande, and Galactic. Her talents extend beyond music as well — she appeared in Tyler Perry’s film For Colored Girls and in shows including Brotherly Love, Cardboard Boxer, and Netflix’s Fuller House.
Throughout her career, Macy Gray has consistently demonstrated a clear artistic vision and dedication to her craft. Her smooth, mature style of R&B honors the genre’s rich history while continuing to sound fresh and relevant, making her a lasting and rare voice in today’s music scene.
