Join trumpeter Dan Miller and saxophonist Lew Del Gatto as they celebrate the genius and music of Irving Berlin. The music that Berlin composed for the Broadway Stage and the Hollywood Screen became an integral part of the Great American Songbook, loved by musicians, singers and audiences alike. He wrote over 1,500 tunes including God Bless America and White Christmas. Jerome Kern said, "Irving Berlin has no place in American music—he is American music."

The program will include such favorites as How Deep Is The Ocean, Let’s Face The Music and Dance, Alexander’s Ragtime Band, Always, Blue Skies, Coquette, Falling In Love Is Wonderful, If I Had You, Change Partners, Cheek To Cheek and Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better).

Dan Miller built his reputation touring and recording with Harry Connick Jr., Wynton Marsalis, Maynard Ferguson, Woody Herman and Tom Jones. Lew Del Gatto was a member of the Saturday Night Live Band from 1975-2006 and toured and recorded with Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones and Buddy Rich. For this concert, they bring together a tremendous group of musicians for an evening of hard swinging, acoustic jazz music including the NYC pianist Roy Gerson (Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks), bassist Chuck Bergeron (Buddy Rich & University of Miami Jazz Bass Professor) and the spectacular drummer from Philadelphia, Tony Vigilante (Ben Vereen)..

The Weight Band
Facebook Event Page
The Weight Band originated in 2013 inside the famed Woodstock, New York barn of Levon Helm when Jim Weider and Randy Ciarlante — both former members of The Band — performed “Songs of The Band” with Band founder, Garth Hudson, alongside Jimmy Vivino and Byron Isaacs. Inspired to carry on the legacy of the unforgettable rock group, Weider, Ciarlante and Isaacs began performing fan favorites from The Band catalog to audiences across the country, inviting Brian Mitchell and Marty Grebb to complete their sound. The Weight Band later added Albert Rogers, Michael Bram and Matt Zeiner to make up their current lineup, featuring songs from The Band's treasured catalog as well as new original tracks that complement The Band’s timeless legacy.

Shaun Murphy
From Contemporary Blues to Soul, to Rock,
something for everyone’s moods!
Release Date : August 1, 2019
Genre: Contemporary Blues: Blues Rock

“This 14 track CD is a treasure trove of emotional ups and downs, blending a number of genres seamlessly. My friend Marc-Alan Barnette had written ‘Thang For You’ and when I heard him do it live, well, I couldn’t resist. The title track, ‘Reason To Try’ was one that I heard the writer do live; Danny Flowers, and it stopped me in my tracks. My great guitar players, Kenne Cramer and Tommy Stillwell wrote ‘Welcome To Bluesville’ for me. A song I hope you truly enjoy!” Shaun Murphy

She began her career in 1969 playing at the Ann Arbor Blues Festival, went on to theater, being discovered by an employee of Motown Records. She later signed with Rare Earth records, using the name “Stoney” and began touring with Meatloaf as Stoney and Meatloaf. Shaun moved with Motown to LA, but later relocated back to Detroit to work with Bob Seger in 1973, (and continues to work with Bob Seger on his final tour.) Shaun performed in Hair and Sgt. Peppers rock musicals. on Broadway. She has done several tours with Eric Clapton, Bruce Hornsby, Moody Blues, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh and many more. She became a member of the band Little Feat based in Los Angeles in 1994, touring and recording with the band until 2009.

Shaun has gone on to become an independent solo artist, recording her 9th solo CD, Reason To Try under Vision Wall Records. Recorded at Rock House Studios in Franklin, TN produced and mixed by Kevin McKendree (Delbert McClinton, Brian Setzer, etc). Using her long-time bandmates, Tom DelRossi, John Marcus, (Tim McGraw) Kenne Cramer, (Dr. Hook) Tommy Stillwell (Beat Daddy’s) and Eric Robert, (Coco Montoya & Walter Trout), saying, “I always want you to really hear what I’m going to sound like live, so what better way than to use my wonderful band!”

Sunday Soul Sessions - A Season Series of Blues & Soul Announced for Bradenton Area

Two of Bradenton’s live-music-powerhouse

After a successful Women of the Blues event together in
May of 2019, Bradenton-based National Touring Artist
Lauren Mitchell and local Promotions Company
Independent Jones are again joining their formidable
forces to keep the blues alive in our city.

Borne from the desire to engage blues and soul music
fans “South of the Skyway” after Bradenton’s beloved

continue to create meaningful musical experiences for
artists and fans alike, these two live-music-powerhouses
have teamed up to bring blues and soul music back
to Bradenton in a once monthly concert series.

Continuing with her heartfelt mission of fighting for
inclusivity, equality and equity for women and minorities
in The Blues, Ms. Mitchell has curated a lineup of six
performers that best represents the traditions and spirit –
as well as the future – of this seminal, vital musical form.

The Sunday Soul Sessions concerts will take place the
first Sunday of every month, beginning on January 5th at
4:00pm, and continue through June 7th, 2020.

The series will feature artists both local and from around
the country, staged in a listening environment expressly
designed for this performer. Each concert will be unique, to
provide an intimate, one-of-a-kind, live music experience.
The location will be kept secret and emailed to TICKET*
holders 24 hours in advance. All events will take place
in the Bradenton-Metro area

To round out this one-of-a-kind live music experience,
