BILL MAYS TRIO - JAZZ

The master pianist has accompanied  legends like Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Dionne Warwick, and the Percy Faith Orchestra.  Mays' Trio, which includes legendary jazz drummer Adam Nussbaum, will grace the stage with eclectic intonations and fresh interpretations of favorite classics as well as original works.

JAZZ LEGEND ADAM NUSSBAUM & FRIENDS
SAT. 2/20, 8pm 
Nussbaum, one of the top jazz drummers in the world, has performed on the Grammy-award winning track, ”Don't Try This At Home” with Michael Brecker, and has also worked with artists like Stan Getz, John Abercrombie, and many more. His Quartet of jazz legends will bring an eclectic, classic jazz sound to Arts Garage.

The regional winners for South Florida’s Hardrock Rising Competition also won DUENDE, Broward County’s 100th anniversary Battle of the Bands competition. The young 5-member, female-fronted ensemble has a powerhouse sound like Paramore and Janis Joplin fused with the rhythmic mellow vibes of Sublime.

JAZZ GUITAR

This outstanding duo is infectiously fun, melodic and will keep your feet tapping. Vignola’s jaw-dropping technique explains why The New York Times deemed him “one of the brightest stars of the guitar.”

Featuring Avery Sommers as Bessie Smith.
A musical featuring the “Empress of the Blues,” whose life was as outrageous as her talents.  Set in Memphis in 1937, The Devil’s Music explodes with the  classic tunes Bessie Smith made famous including: I Ain’t Got Nobody, T’aint Nobody’s Business, There’ll Be A Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight and St. Louis Blues.
