Dr. Lonnie will be joined by “A” list jazz musicians, Jonathan Kreisberg on guitar and Colin Stranahan on drums.  “ The Doc” as he is affectionately called, is a composer, jazz performer and recording artist.  An authentic master of the Hammond B-3 organ for over five decades, Smith has been featured on over seventy albums and has recorded and performed with a virtual “Who’s Who” of the jazz world.  He is often hailed as a “legend” and a “living musical icon,” for his creativity on the jazz organ. Jazz Times describes him as “a riddle wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a turban.”   Smith was named “Top Organist” by Downbeat Magazine and was recently inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame and the Jazz Organ Fellowships Hall of Fame.  In 2012 Dr. Smith launched his own record label, Pilgrimage Productions and released his first recording on that label, “The Healer.”   For more information about this artist, visit his website at www.drlonniesmith.com or go to  www.goldcoastjazz.org for audio and video samples.
