With the demise of the two stalwarts of the Gainesville blues scene, The Brew Spot Cafe has stepped up and opened their doors to weekend live music on the Northeast side of town. This was our first visit to the venue and we enjoyed a great evening of music, food, drink and community.

Here are some photos and vid clips from the evening with a bit of commentary. Feel free to add your own in the comment section at the end. See you back here soon! C&D

The Tapas Menu - and price - for this special evening was great! Think we tried about everything, too!

This is the place! Lovely outdoor patio area and very nice areas inside for music, conversation, food and/or beverages... Nice atmosphere!

Little Jake & The Soul Searchers will be performing at The Brew Spot Cafe on Saturday, June 28th!

Ted Shumate

Photo journalists abounded!

Tools of the trade...

Thanks Robert for the groove on your TWO intstruments!

We think Tim's middle name is "FOCUS".

Robert Griffin

21 BLUE - Blues for the 21st Century!

Man-o-man, is the price right for this great food, or what? YUM!

Many parts are edible! Thanks for the great service Tracy!

A taste of the night...

Another taste of the night...

And, yet another!

And... one more!

You can catch this horn, and the attached player, at Carniege Hall in a couple weeks! (see bottom photo)

Kitty Herda, one of the owners of The Brew Spot Cafe' with Longinue Parsons

Well??

How do you get to Carniege Hall? Practice, practice, practice!

Ted, digging it deep, and not letting go!

The chord progress, in layman's terms on the upper right of the rear wall... go for it!

Dancers were not shy and the rest were bopping in their seats!
