Libby York Jazz CD Release Concert in Key West March 26, 2014

The Tennessee Williams Cabaret Theater proudly presents Libby York in concert Wednesday March 26, 8pm in celebration of her new CD release "Memoir". The first in a series of concerts which includes The Kitano New York in Manhattan and Jazz Showcase Chicago, York will be joined by acclaimed Chicago jazz pianist Jeremy Kahn, who has performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, Joni Mitchell, Phil Woods, Charlie Haden, Aretha Franklin, and Barbara Cook. York's recent appearances include The Metropolitan Room NYC, Green Mill Chicago and Cafe Laurent Paris.

Libby will be featuring songs from the new CD such as "Give Me The Simple Life" and "How Long Has this Been Going On" as well as telling a few personal stories from her career. Duets with Bobby Nesbitt will be the grand finale! She'll be signing CD's at the show.

Early raves for "Memoir" include JazzTimes"..she's every inch the equal of Dianna Krall." The New York Times calls York "a jazz singer of cool composure and artful subtlety." Gary Walker of WBGO New York's jazz station says "Libby, thanks for your remarkable gift."
