Latest Winners

BEST OF SHOW

Jamie Ousley, A Sea of Voices, acoustic music, is soulful and soothing with surprises here and there. Intended as a not-for-profit album to benefit the environment, the album features Ousley’s own compositions and a few others you wouldn't expect on a jazz compilation. Ousley is a professor of jazz bass at Florida International University in Miami and tours internationally with a trio that joins him on most of the tracks on the album. He has performed for heads of state including Bill Clinton and King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia of Spain. Ousley performs on double bass, Joe Davidian and Gabriel Saientz on the piano, Austin McMahon plays drums, Carlomagno Araya handles percussion, and Nanami Morikawa provides vocals.
