Deborah Paiva sings from her heart & soul. Her high energy swing, cool bossas & sultry ballads are a beautiful blend of clear, crisp vocal excellence and high quality musicianship. She also delights audiences with her original music & her very original takes on some R&B/Blues classics. Her ongoing performing & writing partnership with the incomparable & always exciting Ken Burkhart, on Hammond B3 organ, piano & vocals pleases audience every time. Ken is one of the best players & writers on the scene & takes his influences from Jimmy Smith & Ray Charles, among others. One of the special gifts of this partnership is the incredible blending of their voices on very original duets & those have become their most requested songs. After years of performing throughout the East Coast, they have settled in South Florida where they have been performing for the past 5 years.
