Appreciation Party will Honor Space Coast Guitar Hero Austin Pettit

Cocoa Beach, FL : The Austin Pettit Appreciation Party will be held on Saturday, July 14th from Noon to 10:00 PM at The Cocoa Beach Country Club Pavilion. Many of Austin’s fellow musicians have come together for a day of great music.

Mo Geetz, The Bone Dogs, Lady DB & The Dukes, Different Worlds, Josh Miller, The Space Coast Playboys and special guest from LA, Paul Ill and Truly Blessed. There will be an AP jam featuring other great Space Coast Musicians, which will continue from 10 PM to Midnite at the Beach Shack at the end of Minuteman Cswy on the beach.

Austin Pettit, Brevard County's homegrown guitar hero needs our help. Every time you see him play his guitar, he plays from his heart. From the early days at Cocoa Beach's Pillow Talk Lounge and Fudpuckers, with bands such as Stampede and Tight Shoes, to touring nationally with Grinderswitch opening for The Allman brothers,, and founding the Legendary Groove Monsters with Stephen Miller and Dave Fiester, then forming the Austin Pettit band and now reaching a new generation of music lovers with Mo Geetz, Austin Pettit has been a main stay of the Space Coast music scene for nearly 40 years.

If you would like to show your appreciation for all the years of music and memories Austin has given us, then join us for a great day of Music, Fun, Food, and Memories. A donation at the door will be requested to enjoy 10 hours of great music. We will have raffles, a silent auction and more, with all proceeds going to help Austin. Austin has just undergone cancer surgery and will be out of work many weeks, and along with mounting medical bills, he needs our help. If you are unable to attend you may go to http://www.earthawareness.org/ and make a secure online donation.
