MIAMI BEACH, FL -APRIL 22, 2009 -– On June 12th and 13th, Jazid, the South Beach club where Latin and American jazz, funk, cumbia, and reggae meet to form a truly original live music scene, will be celebrating 13 years of having opened its doors to loyal music fans.
For its 13th year, Jazid will offer the most incredible celebration of live music in Miami Beach. Acoustic acts together with jazz, reggae, funk, cumbia and salsa bands will be playing our anniversary party for the pleasure of all true music lovers.
This year, Jazid set a new standard in Miami by converting the lower area of the venue to a non-smoking environment, making live music available for everyone.
“Jazid is a community and I believe this sentiment comes from the environment, the people and the live bands you don’t get anywhere else on South Beach. Now with the non-smoking decision, live music is available to everybody”, states Daniel Wohlstein, owner of Jazid. “At this 13th anniversary celebration, we will again honor Jazid, the venue encompassing a true music community, superb live music, an unpretentious environment and good, clean fun.”
To celebrate the 13th anniversary of Miami Beach’s longest-running nightclub, Locos Por Juana, DJ Le Spam & the Spam Allstars, Suenalo Sound System, Fabian Hernandez, Natalie Bretoneche, Jacob Jeffries, Deco Band, Max Ferber Trio and Local 34 will be performing on separate stages bringing their unique Miami sound to the loyal fans of Jazid. With the success of last year’s celebration, Jazid will have two different parties this year to accommodate all of its customers, including an open air party on Saturday outside of the club.

- On June 12th, 2009 Grammy nominated band Locos Por Juana and Bachaco will celebrate with the sounds the of reggae and cumbia. 8 pm
- On June 13th, Latin Grammy nominated band DJ Le Spam & the Spam Allstars, Suenalo Sound System, Local 34, and Deco Band inside Jazid and at the outside party Fabian Hernandez, Natalie Bretoneche, Jacob Jeffries and Max Ferber trio will celebrate with a musical mayhem. 6 pm.
